The aim of the Team Help Run was to raise the profile of SSAFA locally and to recruit more volunteer Case Workers and Friends. With a large number of military bases in the Swindon area, there are many present and former service personnel and their families who have settled there.

SSAFA Wilts committee chairman Alan Jones, said: “This was the second time we have sponsored a team event in the Swindon Half Marathon. Although the number of entries was modest, we believe it has excellent potential for achieving our objectives and certainly plan to continue, or even extend, our team sponsorship next year.”
